This weirdly named poetry collection , may arouse people’s curiosity as to what genre this poetry really belong to and what is the theme of this book.
Truth be told it cannot associate itself with any of the established genres. In fact it follows none of the attributers of conventional poetry . This unique form of poetry may be termed as tissue-paper poetry.
No introduction to this book can be complete without a reference to the genre of tissue-paper poetry. Hazarding to delineate the attributes of this genre , I may say that spontaneity and succinctness are the most essential features .Moreover these poems are not subject-specific and certainly independent of time .
Spontaneous flow of words , giving expression to my poetic endeavour, whether I was inside a coffe-house or on a flight has culminated into this compilation i.e. Miss Laal Tamator.
Miss Laal Tamator ,though predominantly revolves around love and the like , comprises of varied compositions : focusing on love & longing and society & family. These poems are ,essentially my reflections on society, motherhood and on the love that wasn’t mine , scribbled mostly on the less-conventional tissue-papers , otherwise discarded and has become the quintessential part of this collection.
