When the 'billion beats' reverberated in some corner of his heart,with his benevolent elegance of intelligence,hard work,dedication & promise for the nation;he 'ignited the minds' of youthful India in echoing flutter of his 'wings of fire' with 'indomitable spirit' for a developed India by 2020,his dream child 'vision 2020'.

And he resides somewhere inside my heart because whenever I think of him my heart skips a beat,a missile is fired to my lazy thoughts and energize the wuss fighter in me.
But the happiest mystery was yet to unfold in my life untill the day I somehow managed to talk to him and recieved a reply to my e-mail, where I had put a few questions,thanks to his politeness.


1)WOULD YOU PLEASE DELIVER YOUR OPINION ABOUT 'AN IDEAL MAN' !

Dr Kalam sir: An ideal man must be able to love every living without any personal interest.

2)IS YOUR 'BRAIN CHILD' 'VISION 2020' ON ITS RIGHT DIRECTION ?

Dr Kalam sir: yes,with 540 million people below the age of 25 with the spirit "I CAN DO IT" we will certainly achieve our goal.

3)IS THERE ANY "HAPPIEST MOMENT" IN YOUR LIFE DURING YOUR CHILDHOOD ?

Dr Kalam sir: when my mother gave a special sweet to me based on my teacher's report about my good performance.

4)WOULD YOU PLEASE TELL WHAT "SUCCESS" IS MEANT TO?IS IT ESSENTIAL TO BE IDENTIFIED AS A HUMAN?

Dr Kalam sir: no.success is a step for progress.One success will generally lead to another task.

5)IN WHICH FIELD SHOULD INDIA SPEND ITS FAIR CHUNK OF BUDGETARY ALLOWANCE -"DEFENCE OR DEVELOPMENT" ?

Dr Kalam sir: both.we are spending less than 3% of GDP in defence which is required for ensuring our territorial integrity.

6)YOUR VIEW ABOUT "POSITION OF INTELLECTUALS IN INDIAN POLITICS" EVEN AFTER 60 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE.

Dr Kalam sir: gradually the number of members with PhDs,master and graduates is increasing in successive Lok Sabha election.same may be true in respect of state assemblies.

7)HAS THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA BEEN EVER SPARED FROM "POLITICAL BIASING"?

Dr Kalam sir: president of India is above politics.

8)HAS THE "RESERVATION SYSTEM" BENEFITED THOSE WHO ACTUALLY NEED IT OR REMAINED CONFINED TO CREAMY LAYERS?

Dr Kalam sir: it is a debatable question which has to be studied with statistical facts.

9)HOW THE "CURRENT SYSTEM" SHOULD CHANGE SO THAT A COMMON MAN CAN AVAIL A MAXIMUM BENEFIT FROM IT?

Dr Kalam sir: we should create large number of opportunities for higher studies as well as value added jobs which will make reservation system meaningless.Every aspiring deserving student should be able to get admission to the choice of his course.

10)ANY MESSAGE FOR THE YOUNG MEDICOs!

Dr Kalam sir: you should love your profession .you should prefer to work in rural areas where 70%of population live.you should not inflict diagnostic pain on patients.your motto must be "LET MY BRAIN REMOVE THE PAIN OF INDIVIDUALS"
